I bought recently from the second largest Dutch banknoteprinter DEBUSSY from their archives (more than 100 years) a pile of SPECIMEN certificates. From each SPECIMEN there were only 2 copies in the archive. Most of the papers that came into circulation do not exist anymore because Euroclear (Necigef) always destroys all papers when a company is not listed anymore on the stockexchange. As a result, most of the SPECIMEN certificates mentioned below are extremely rare. Condition is Extremely Fine; almost brandnew but always stamped SPECIMEN and sometimes holed.

These certificates of American and Canadian stocks and bonds were listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. Therefore the text on them is mostly in Dutch. Shipment to USA will cost € 2.07 (airmail, non insured, non registered) for an enveloppe up to 100 grams.

• Beautifully printed $500 certificate from the Confederate States of America dated February 3, 1863. Criswell #62 rarity 7. Ball #7. This historic document was printed by Blanton Duncan, Columbia, South Carolina and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of J. H. Reagan, CSA Postmaster-General. It was issued under the Act of August 19, 1861. Redemption date January 1, 1873. This certificate has been hand signed by the Registry of the Treasury, Robert Tyler. There were only 1,338 of these bonds issued but it is unknown how many survived over the years. Folded and minor foxing. Overall in Very Fine Condition. 16 coupons attached. • Beautifully printed $500 loan from the Confederate States of America dated January 6, 1863 due july 1, 1876. Criswell #67 rarity 6. 1,784 certificates were printed. This historic document was printed by B. Duncan, Columbia, South Carolina and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of Thomas Watts and three females . This bond was issued under the Act of August 19, 1861. This certificate has been hand signed by Robert Tyler as the Registrar of the Treasury. The bond has minor folds and overall in Very Fine Condition. 23 coupons. Dutch tax stamp on the front. € 65
• Beautifully printed certificate from the Confederate States of America dated november 12 1862, due july 1, 1880. Criswell #74 rarity 5. 2,431 certificates were printed. This historic document was printed by B. Duncan, Richmond and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of Thomas H. watts. This bond was issued under the act of August 19, 1861. It has been signed by Robert Tyler as the registrar of the Treasury. The bond has some minor holes and some rust-stains. Overal very fine condition. Dutch tax-stamp on the front and Dutch stamp on the back. Coupons attached. € 70

This historic document was printed by Evans & Cogswell, Columbia South Carolina, and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of C.G. Memminger. Rarity: 2. 58.917 certificates were printed this is no. 50.077. It is unknown how many certificates have survived.7 coupons. Quality: Very Fine (folded a few times). Dutch tax stamp on the front as well as on the back. € 80
• Beautifully printed $1000 loan from the Confederate States of America dated March 2, 1863 due july 1 1868. Criswell #125 rarity 2. Ball #210. 49,510 certificates were printed. This historic document was printed by Evans & Cogswell, Columbia, South Carolina and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of President Jefferson Davis with a view of Richmond, Virginia from the west. This bond was issued under the Act of February 20, 1863. The certificate has the Wojciechowski imprint at the lower right near the outside border and is watermarked "C Ansell 1863". This certificate has been hand signed by Robert Tyler as the Registrar of the Treasury. The bond has minor folds and overall in Very Fine Condition. 7 coupons. Dutch tax stamp on the front. € 85
• Script Certificate for 5000 USD from the British Bondholder Committee dated 1887. This historic document has a block border on the left side and a English Tax Stamp affixed to its face. Also an English tax stamp on the back. This item has the signatures of the Director and manager of the National Safe Deposit Company, Limited and the Bondholders' Trustee.Quality VF/EF (two folds).
